You’ll be a leader of a strong team of rockstars caring for a diverse range of patients. Partner with our fabulous doctors, clinical support staff and client care teams. We are looking for someone that has strong attention to detail, is task-orientated and has strong innovative capabilities.  

 

You’ll have the opportunity to hone your skills and expand your knowledge on a supportive leadership team. You’ll have 3 years in a veterinary hospital, strong clinical skills and anesthesia experience, excellent communication skills, and a desire to build a stronger team. Key Responsibilities:

 

  • Work closely and support specialty department supervisors
  • Demonstrate solid veterinary clinical skills and be a role model for the team
  • Mentorship & Training of supervisory and clinical support staff
  • Develop and implement department policies and procedures with leadership teams
  • Oversee scheduling of technicians, assistants, etc. 
  • Partner with specialty department supervisors on conducting team meetings
  • Facilitate direct or indirect training to department staff.
  • Provide routine assessment of skill level and knowledge
  • Record keeping
  • Employee performance evaluations
  • Work closely with leadership team for needs of the Specialty Department teams
  • Monitor continuing education
  • Work with hospital leadership on hiring and training new clinical support staff
  • Support the hospital team to provide exceptional care for pets and their owners

 

Requirements:

  • 3 years of experience in a veterinary hospital
  • Previous supervisory or leadership experience in a veterinary clinical setting strongly preferred
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Strong clinical skills
  • Detail oriented and well organized
  • Ability to lift 50 pounds
  • Self-motivated
  • Team-oriented
