QUALITY ASSURANCE LEAD
Purpose: Oversee all QA Lab responsibilities and ensure tasks are being completed accurately and according to product specifications, operating instructions, & department requirements.
Core Responsibilities:
- Assure QA Technicians understand & accurately complete all testing requirements according to specifications and operating instructions. Perform O.I. verification duties on a weekly basis, perform CCP verification duties, and complete verification on CQPs.
- Follow up on tasks assigned to QA crew, ensuring assigned work is progressing, and performing QA Technician duties as required. Also responsible for training new Quality Assurance employees.
- To place all non-conforming product on hold using the JD Edward's system. Complete Quality checks on held product and record their results in the JD Edward's system in a timely manner. Save samples as necessary or required. Finally, record grade results and communicate with production in grade system.
- Proactively communicate with Production, QA Manager, Director of Operations, Shift Supervisor, Micro Tech and other personnel regarding food safety, product quality and procedures. Keep QA Manager, Food Safety Supervisor and/or QA Specialist informed of daily issues.
- Assist the QA Manager, QA Specialist, Food Safety Supervisor with day-to-day employee, quality, safety, production and customer needs and/or issues, in addition to verifying sanitation (swab specific areas of the plant) post plant shutdown to ensure cleanliness.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area and also assist other personnel as needed to maintain the same conditions in the QA areas. To attend and participate in meetings, training and continuing education programs internally or externally as deemed appropriate by management.

Prolonged Standing, Squatting, Reaching, Lifting up to 50 lbs.
