Part-Time Veterinary Technician

We have an amazing team who supports our outstanding patient care, and we are expanding! We are currently seeking an Part-Time Veterinary Technician to join our exceptional team of highly skilled professionals committed to providing the best emergency and urgent care services available. This role is joining our day-shift weekend team and would be assigned to work shifts on both Saturdays and Sundays.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provides compassionate care to patients and clients
- Keeps accurate medical records in accordance with hospital policy
- Prepares and maintains the exam rooms and treatment areas
- Performs physical assessments and records observations
- Restrains pets
- Prepares estimates for procedures and discusses financial commitments with clients
- Explains necessary follow up and homecare instructions
- Stocks clinic treatment area and exams rooms
- Assists the Veterinarian in medical and surgical procedures; prepares patients for surgery; administers anesthesia; monitors patients during surgery and recovery; administers fluids
- Cares for all surgical materials; keeps the operating room properly stocked and prepared for surgery
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Veterinary Technician Certification (CVT) or License (LVT) is preferred but not required
- 3+ years of veterinary technician experience
- Must have a positive attitude and be a team player
- Proficiency in phlebotomy, radiology, and basic ER procedures
